Date Extended! UPSC CDS Applications Now Open Until January 1, 2025

 

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the application window for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2025. ATC): Candidates are required to apply through the official website of the UPSC (upsc. gov.in). This extension offers prospective candidates extra time to finalize the process.

Candidates seeking admission to some of the elite defense academies, such as the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy, through the CDS Examination. There are total 457 vacancies for these institutions through this recruitment drive.

Application Process:

Application for this exam must be done online via the UPSC portal. It consists of two parts:

• Registration: After new users sign up, they need to create an ID for themselves and verification is done through key personal information.

• Filling the Application Form: After obtaining Registration ID, candidates can log in & fill the detailed application form, upload required documents (photograph, signature & Voter ID proof), choose the exam (examination) center as per preference and pay the application fee.

The application fee is ₹200 for General and OBC candidates and for SC/ST and female candidates, the fee is waived.

Correction Window:

They will receive a correction window offered by UPSC which open from 2 January to 7 January 2025, so that candidates can correct any mistakes they have made in the application form. Applicants can sign in to their accounts during this time to correct any mistakes.

Examination Details:

The CDS (I) 2025 Examination will be conducted on 13th April 2025. The selection process falls as follows:

• Aptitude Test: Evaluation of English language skills, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.

• Admit Card : Once the application procedure is completed, candidates are required to frequently visit the UPSC official website for the information related to the admit card release.
